SAVE PLUS Rear Stay Micro-Suspension System
A directional carbon lay-up and exaggerated vibration-absorbing tube shapes give the SAVE PLUS chain stay/seat stay system 13% more vertical deflection than the previous version, while actually improving the frames lateral and torsional stiffness.
SAVE PLUS Full Carbon Fork
Offset dropouts allow the fork blades to have the vertical compliance of a shallow rake fork, without sacrificing the Synapses nimble, precise handling. Refined carbon lay-up and SAVE shaping further enhance the forks vertical compliance.
Performance Geometry
Compared with our Elite race geometry, the Synapse features a 2-2.5 cm taller head tube, slightly relaxed head angle and longer wheelbase for a more upright riding position and a stable yet lively feel. It's confidence-inspiring, relaxing and it avoids the sluggish feel and awkward handling of many road bikes.

Purchased this machine the last week of May. Have just over 2000 miles on it. This machine is very comfortable. Mine is equipped with a SRAM BB30 bottom bracket. Great power transfer. I ride a lot of climbs with long descents. The machine handles great at 40+ mph on the descents. My maximum downhill speed was recorded at 57.9 mph and the machine was completely stable. The only complaint I have is that when wet the bottom bracket makes a horrible squeaking noise. I found the best solution to the squeak is to apply silicon spray. My research indicates that crank squeak is a common issue with the BB30 bottom bracket. I would give this machine a 5 star rating were it not for the crank squeak.

Merchant response: Please bring your bike back to your Cannondale retailer for a look at the BB. Squeaks and creaks are not normal.
