              Comments about cannondale SCARLET 1:

Ordered mine at a significant discount on closeout. I tried the lexi before ordering the Scarlet and I hated the geometry. First, the stand over was too high for even the s/xs sizes. I would say the lexi is designed for someone with legs up to their navel and disproportionately short upper torso. Most women do have longer legs than upper bodies but most of them don't have long inseams either. I'm normally in between sizes in men's bikes-- too big for a small and too small for a medium. I am 5"4' with longer arms and fairly shorter legs. I should fit in men's bikes but there are only few that can accommodate my height.

I rode a 29er hard tail giant for 2 seasons. It did what it was supposed to--which is take me out to the trails but I hated the large wheel size on technical switch backs. 27.5s seem to be the "in" thing nowadays and 26ers are being dumped by most companies. Probably why my discount was so significant. None can compare for the value of the Scarlet though. Awesome components and great ride. A bit on the heavy side but I can't complain for everything else it offers. Great ride, handles impeccably well on technical terrain and bombs on the downhill. I'm getting used to the wheel size being significantly smaller than the 29er tank I used to own but it is teaching me the skill to maneuver instead of just pushing through and over things.

Absolutely amazing bike! I wish they still made them. Maybe in a 27.5 variant for 2015. Most other brands really do not think of women rider's needs and make subpar bikes with subpar components. And they all wonder why Giant is the leader of the pack with their 27.5 LivGiant 2014 line outselling any other bike line in the market (even the men's). My next will definitely be 27.5 and since cannondale stopped making the Scarlet, I will likely upgrade to a Giant lust but not until I learn the skill I need from this awesome enduro 26er!

Amazing bike please keep making them for women riders Cannondale!!!!

I bought the Scarlet when it first came out and I cannot say enough good things about it. This bike was made for me and the way I ride. It eats up climbs, enjoys a good downhill and absolutely loves to get air! Nice ride!

I found this bike in perfect timing- I was just about ready to give up biking forever. Finding a bike that I feel 100% comfortable and confident on is a big challenge while living on a budget. I live in CT and ride mostly all-mountain trails and some downhill. The Scarlett is perfect for this kind of riding. The Fox DYAD RT2 dual shock makes a huge difference between climbing and downhill. The bike pretty much does all the work- all you have to do is pedal. I love that the stand-over height is low (I am used to riding men's bikes). The geometry is built precisely for a woman's build. I'm 5'4" and got a medium frame. The stock grips are terrific. I might switch to a 40mm stem for downhill. The graphics are sexy and not too girly. An overall excellent bike, I would highly recommend this bike to any female mountain biker!
