TECHNOLOGIES

  • Mountain Bike Inspired Frame
The lightweight but durable Quick CX frame is designed like a mountain bike for the road. With pronounced SAVE features and a smaller diameter 27.2 seatpost, it delivers a crisp yet comfortable ride.
  • OverSized HeadTube Junction
Massive 1.5” Si headtube is connected to an oversized top tube and down tube for a level of steering precision and control usually found only on the World Cup Circuit.
  • Custom Forks
For off-road control and on-road comfort, most Quick CXs are equipped with 50mm-travel, 1.5” steerer suspension forks, including the radically light and stiff HeadShok DL50.
  • Disk Brakes
Disk brakes add all-weather braking power and control.
  • Rack and Fender ready
With rack and fender mounts, including low-rider fork mounts, the Quick CX is ready for anything from commuting to fully loaded overnight adventures.

        Comments about Quick CX 5:

I purchased this Quick CX 5 in Spring 2013 as a general riding around with the family bike. While I used it that way the first year, this year I've used it riding 12 - 15 miles per ride, 3 - 4 times a week as an alternative to running. My doctor suggested riding more to give my knees rest; riding gives me nearly the same cardio and leg workout with less stress on the knees. I find the bike well-suited for leisurely rides in the neighborhood and equally suited for hour-plus rides for fitness.

The Quick CX 5 is a very nice entry-level bike that does everything I want it to. Shifting gears is responsive and accurate. I have zero complaints and I recommend this bike.
