Two Personalities…and they’re both Bad-Ass.

Thanks to its OverMountain dual-travel DNA, the Trigger 29 gives you the most out of each pedal stroke on nasty climbs with 80mm of travel, yet doesn’t compromise when descents get rowdy with 130mm of seemingly bottomless confidence. Imagine being able to pick any line, up or down, and charge it at full speed - that is what the Trigger 29 is all about.

Trigger 29 is

  • The freedom to attack any line you want, up or down.
  • The right geometry at the right time with Attitude Adjust.
  • The genetically perfect result of Scalpel 29 and Jekyll “riding” together.

Rider profile:

Aggressive-descending 29er fans who know the more efficiently they can climb, the more they can descend.

TECHNOLOGIES

  • TRAVEL
    80mm to 130mm on-the-fly adjustable rear travel.
  • DYAD RT2
Two-shocks-in-one DYAD technology with shock stroke, air spring volumes and damping created specifically for the Trigger 29.
  • ATTITUDE ADJUST
Switch between modes on the DYAD and the bike’s geometry changes too. Steeper and more nimble in Elevate mode, lower and more stable in Flow mode.
  • BALLISTEC CARBON / SMARTFORMED ALLOY
Using fibers developed by the military for ballistic armoring, this high-strength carbon construction process yields a frame that’s lighter than aluminum and pound-for-pound stronger than steel. The alloy versions use our ultra sophisticated SmartFormed aluminum construction for a frame that’s strong yet light.
  • ECS-TC SYSTEM
Clamped, 15mm thru-axles in the shock linkage and swingarm pivot, as well as double bearings in the seat stay pivots eliminate flex and provide unmatched center-stiffness for complete control.
  • LEFTY SUPERMAX
The most torsionally rigid suspension fork ever made, the SuperMax brings unheard-of levels of steering precision to longer travel 29’ers. The unique 60mm offset helps increase both high speed stability and low speed agility - perfect for Trigger 29’s full-throttle attitude.

Comments about cannondale Trigger 29 Carbon 1:

I purchased this bike to use for training and the occasional group trail ride. Training as I knew it was heavy but able to handle the ruff stuff was my goal. Let me just say that this is by far the best trail bike I have ever ridden. My training loop can be a 9 mile 2000 foot climb session. In 80 mil mode it climbs like a heavy xc race bike but with the head angle and fat tires its capable of some 18 % super rocky climbs. Going down is just too fun. In 130 mode. Don't need to pick a line. Just point and shoot. I have done 4 foot flat drops and it feels like a curb drop. Rock gardens are almost not a challenge at all. Eats up 12 inch rocks easily. Just pound into them. This bike has made me decide to race enduros this year. Aside from the crest wheel set mine came with which I swapped out for flows,,the bike is a solid package.. The xt group is super solid. I have had it out on many 3 plus hour rides and it rides much lighter than it actually is. Its my go to bike. That's all.

OMG. This bike is awesome! It truly is 2 bikes in 1. It rides like a cross country race bike but has 130mm of travel to back it up. it is very responsive and feels light in it's ride. The adjustment from 80mm to 130mm works very well. You feel an immediate change to the travel and geometry.
It was a toss up for me whether to go with the Scalpel or the trigger. I am really glad I got the Trigger.
