Take rides into the next county or just across town. The ultra-comfortable Synapse features relaxed geometry and advanced vibration-damping properties. Riders also have a choice of beautiful paintjobs and their favorite frame materials: HI-MODulus, ultra carbon, or 6061-T6 aluminum.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE LAY-UP
Tube shaping is our specialty, and the Synapse benefits from the high-performance lay-up of optimized HI-MODulus carbon fiber. Ultimately, the shaped tubing is engineered to wring every bit of performance from a rider's pedal stroke.

ELIMINATE FATIGUE
High-frequency vibration is fatiguing over the long haul. The Cannondale Synapse uses HI-MOD carbon fiber that's specially shaped to improve rider comfort, maximize pedaling power transfer, and eliminate road buzz.

S.A.V.E TECHNOLOGY
Specially shaped chain stays and a moderate bend in the seat stays provide sophisticated vibration damping, combined with unyielding lateral flex resistance for excellent climbing and sprinting characteristics. We call it Synapse Active Vibration Elimination.

PEDAL STRONGER, PEDAL LONGER
For 2009, the oversized BB shell on carbon Synapses feature a stiffened design that better resists torsional forces. The result is increased pedaling efficiency for longer rides with less fatigue.

WEIGHT: Don't see a weight listed for this bike? Wondering why that is? Well, we used to list our weights based upon medium or 56 cm frame and err on the side of caution when we know there will be variances due to welds, paint thicknesses, etc. But some of our competitors are weighing their small or extra small frames and rounding down. Then you're left wondering what's going on and making important buying decisions based upon faulty information. That's not right.
