Cannondale Quadte X Fabric System
So, you’re actually reading this stuff? That’s good. You obviously care as much about the details as we do. We’re happy to boast about the fabrics we use in our apparel because they’re certainly worth more than a mention. Cannondale Quadte X fabrics are all 4-way stretch materials that produce unsurpassed comfort and a customized fit for every rider. They also host a number of performance benefits that will protect you from all of the various moisture elements including your own sweat. Keep reading. This is great stuff!

ChannelTe X Plus
In school we learned that channels were designed to redirect water. So why not engineer a fabric to do the same thing? Makes sense right? ChannelTe X has actual channels knit into the fabrics interior to politely navigate sweat away from the body leaving you dry and comfortable while you’re adding discomfort to your legs and lungs.

ReFle X Fabric
Remarkable 4-way stretchable fabric guards from the elements, moves with the body, and reflects light for visibility day and night. It’s like the multi-tool of the fabric world.

X Jersey Light
X Jersey Light is used in our lightweight tights and base layers for maximum lightweight comfort performance. This fabric has the same feel as your favorite brushed cotton twill shirt that you’ve washed a hundred times. We’ve taken that feel and put it into a form fitting performance fabric with moisture wicking and breath-ability and 4-way stretch.

X Jersey
This 4-way stretch Polyester Spandex blend provides ultimate breathability and fit, used exclusively in our entire apparel collection for venting and pockets.

X Jersey Plus
This fabric is fuzzy on one side and stealthy smooth on the other. The fuzzy side keeps you warm and cozy. The stealthy smooth side makes you look stealthy smooth. So, not only will moisture be swiftly wicked and your body comfortable and warm but you’ll have the confidence of knowing you look like a badass ready to roll over anything.

X Mesh Light
Is our base layer material that is super light and ultra comfortable. X Mesh Light is perforated for maximum airflow and moisture wicking capability, making it the perfect first layer material during the colder months or by itself during the warmer months.

Airloft Light If uber was a word, we would use it in the description of this fabric. Actually, it might be, so we will. Airloft Light is uber lightweight, uber stretchy combined with uber moisture wicking capabilities. On the inside is a texture that traps air for maximum thermal benefits and enhances comfort.

Channel Max
Channel Max is the beefy bonded brother to the ChannelTe X Plus fabric. Used in our heavyweight road jerseys, Channel Max has larger channels for larger thermal challenges such as colder weather. And, just like its sibling, it moves your own moisture off of your skin and into the air.

Hydroguard
Windproof, waterproof, lightweight. This material was crafted for use in our shells that will find themselves in the worst of conditions. Luckily, whoever is armed with it will cut through it and come out on the other end dry.

Pack Light
Pack light fabric is designed for water and wind resistance. However, it’s packability is it’s best quality. Ultra-thin and lightweight make this material stowable virtually anywhere.

ReFle X Thread
That’s right! We’ve decided that even thread should have performance loaded-in. Refle X Thread increases visibility for night-time, early morning and evening rides for enhanced safety.

Thermal Hydrogrid
This fabric is insane! It actually has a 3-D “grid” knit into the material and traps air for maximum thermal performance and moisture management. Reserved for our LE Collection, Thermal Hydrogrid is midweight, waterproof, windproof 4-way stretch laminate. Engineered to minimize skin contact for maximum comfort while moving moisture away from the skin maintaining it’s thermal qualities.

Thermal Hydrogrid Max
This material will be the envy of the cycling world. It’s the crème de la crème—waterproof, breathable, windproof, moisture wicking and 4-way stretch. Thermal Hydrogrid Max, Cannondale’s warmest layer material, provides the ultimate in thermal performance while still providing breathability, mobility and comfort. Exclusive to the LE line.

Team Fit™
For cyclists that compete at the highest level, the fit of apparel is parallel to the fit of their bike. Our professional cycling team garments now feature Team Fit™ tailoring. The Team Fit™ cut is aggressively contoured to match your physique like a second skin and deliver the best possible aerodynamic performance. Selected garments also feature mesh side panels for maximum ventilation, as well as flat-lock stitching to prevent chafing.

Competition fit
Our Competition Fit is contoured to the body for enhanced aerodynamic performance. Although not as aggressively streamlined as the Team Fit™, the Competition Fit still provides the trim silhouette of traditional cyclewear.

Everyday Fit
Every rider is different and so is every ride. Our Everyday Fit is the loosest of our three profiles, providing more freedom of movement without compromising technical performance. Perfect for the recreational cyclist, the Everyday Fit also works well for serious racers who want a relaxed addition to their training wardrobe. Our Everyday Fit can be found in our casual apparel as well as our Fundamental jerseys.

Chamois Guide

Pinnacle
Top of the line materials meet plush, seamless, stitchless comfort through advanced welding and layering technologies. In areas that bear most of the rider's weight, superior high-density foam is used, while surrounded by supple 20 open-cell foam. This foam resists full compression and provides uncompromising airflow. Bunching and chafing are eliminated because of improved gender-specific articulation lines and a 4-way stretch hygienically treated micro-polyester knit fabric that moves with you. Whether you're coasting on a smooth highway or hucking five-foot drops, you certainly won't be thinking about your chamois.

Men’s Team
Our new Team Chamois is built to exceed expectations-- which is exactly what it needs to do when the rider attached to it is in the saddle for a six hour competitive stretch. The Team Chamois is a lightweight, 4-way stretch, seamless, one-piece insert. Its polyester micro-fiber top layer is molded and formed to a layer of foam padding via a high frequency process eliminating hard edges and stiff areas caused by heat in normal molding processes. The design and placement of the padded areas are based on anatomical research to address the needs of male cyclists. This chamois receives an antibacterial treatment that inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria.

Women’s Team Specially designed for women who compete at the highest levels-- this lightweight, 4-way stretch, seamless, one-piece insert is engineered to perform. The micro-fiber upper layer and the padding are bonded together via a high frequency process eliminating hard edges and stiff areas that can chafe or irritate sensitive skin. The padding is strategically placed throughout the insert to provide maximize comfort and conforms to the female anatomy in motion. This chamois is also given an antibacterial treatment that inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria.

Velocity2
Lower price points don’t motivate compromise at Cannondale. The Velocity2 rivals many of our competitors chamois and is actually our mid-range. The Velocity2 chamois has breathable, hygienically treated fabric, exceptional 4-way stretch and ergonomic gender-specific construction. Deep center grooves protect and prevent pressure points while a generous 8 mm of 50 high-density foam padding provides unrivaled comfort. Carefully contoured lines along with side wings enhance the fit of the Velocity2.
