        Just what I needed...

I've had my Hooligan about 3 weeks now and couldn't be happier. Easy to setup, and a nice ride when it was complete. I only ride between 50 and 100 miles a weekend, nothing too harsh or demanding and this bike has suited me well. I have been looking at these for 9 months now and finally got me one. Not an easy task as I live on the West Coast and they are not as easy to purchase here. My normal bike I rode before the Hooligan purchase were a couple custom made bikes, a bmx type and a 26" road type. Both were great to ride depending on the situation as I carried both on the roof of my Mini. I did notice the pull and drag of carrying the two bike and well to be quite honest I was ready for the change. Buying the Hooligan and throwing it up on the roof of my mini has been a breeze. I can only think of one bad thing about the Hooligan on my Mini is that I may forget it is up there. No wind pull or noticeable drag as I found with my larger bike and all the looks and questions I get when someone pulls next to me I know its been a great purchase. Comfortable, smooth riding, very tight feel, great gear selection and shifting, the cable type disk brakes work well enough even on the little bit of hills I have encountered in San Francisco, an upgrade to hydraulic type maybe in the near future but for now I'll take my chances. The 3 speed rear hub is smooth and quite, no chain noise what so ever. I'm looking into a possible upgrade to the Shimano Aphine internal 8 speed over the winter and a set of Marathon Plus tires as I have already had my first flat. But all in all its been a great bike to ride and an easy one to store and get around.
