After a three week training camp, CFR’s Marathon World Champion Roel Paulissen is back from Cyprus and ready for the important races to come. Besides intensive training sessions, Roel used the Sunshine Cup for his first racing action.

Fontana up front again

CFR’s Italian Champion Marco Aurelio Fontana won the second race of the 2010 Italian Cup. In the city of Montichiari, Fontana only needed the last lap to open a gap to his chasers and won his second race in eight days.

Sagan Takes First Pro Win!

With a decisive sprint, Team Liquigas-Doimo’s twenty-year-old rising talent Peter Sagan took Paris-Nice’s third stage into Aurillac, his first ever professional win. This just the day after narrowly missing out on stage two!

Fontana King of the Maremma

Marco Aurelio Fontana is the king of the SRAM XX Maremma MTB Cup. CFR’s Italian rocket won the last Cross Country race ahead of Swiss Champion Florian Vogel and World Champion Nino Schurter. At Saturday’s Short Race, Fontana was second behind Merida’s Andreas Kugler.

Fontana Podiums At Maremma Cup

With a strong start to his 2010 season, CFR’s Italian Champion took his superb form from cyclocross straight into his first Cross Country race. At the SRAM XX Maremma Cup in Tuscany, Fontana finished second, only 21 seconds behind reigning World Champion Nino Schurter from Switzerland. Ralph Näf (SUI) came in third.

Kreuziger Takes Stage, Lead in Sardegna

Team Liquigas-Doimo's Roman Kreuziger couldn't have asked for a better debut to the 2010 season on Wednesday, as the talented Czech rider won the 172 kilometer stage from Macomer to Nuoro and took the overall race lead in the Tour of Sardegna.

Roels start into 2010’s season

Cannondale Factory Racing’s Roel Paulissen finished third in his season opener in Voroklini, Cyprus. The Marathon World Champion used his first race for some intense training and struggled with technical problems on the rocky and demanding course, the last coming up just 500 meters from the finish line.

Cannondale Factory Racing signs German Mountainbike XC Star Manuel Fumic

Bethel, Conn. – Cannondale Bicycles announced today that it has signed two-time Olympian and former U23 World Champion, Manuel Fumic, to its Cannondale Factory Racing team. The German athlete, 28, has been a dominant force on the Mountain Bike Cross Country circuit since 1999, and is a decorated medalist having won numerous national and world titles during his 11-year career.
