The facts regarding stiffness to weight ratio speak for themselves. Torsional stiffness and fore-aft stiffness are what make Cannondale Lefty forks more durable than any other fork on the market and rival the best of the best in terms of impact strength.
Tried and true technology: Less material = less weight: Because we use an advanced 88 needle bearing assembly coupled with a super-strong 7075-T6 square inner telescope assembly and a strong alloy or carbon outer tube, we are able to put suspension in ONE telescope INSTEAD OF TWO.(This same technology is used in the production of jet airliners and F1 race cars by the way) We use less material which = less weight.
- Precision tracking is directly attributed to Torsional Stiffness: Whereas double stanchioned forks are prone to independent movement of each stanchion, the torsional stiffness of a Lefty puts your front wheel exactly where you want it to go.
