Peter Sagan again showed off his range of talent by winning the drag race into Livermore at the end of the Amgen Tour of California's stage three. By besting some of the hottest pure sprinters in the world, Sagan once again proved that he has a chance to win at almost any type of race.

Marco Aurelio Fontana and the Cannondale Factory Racing Team continued their successful campaign on the World Cup Circuit in Nove Mesto in the Czech Republic. Fontana was part of a 5-man leading group and played a major role in the exciting 6-lap race, finishing in 4th position.

Liquigas-Cannondale's Peter Sagan scored big in the first stage of the Amgen Tour of California in Santa Rosa. The young superstar chased back after a late flat tire with just ten km to go only to be presented with another challenge with three km left, when teammate Ted King was struck by a swerving rider and taken down. Sagan, who was on King's wheel, narrowly missed the crash and found Daniel Oss to drive him to the front. At 250m to go, Sagan started his massive sprint and took the victory, his fourth of the year and fourth in the Tour of California.
