THE PHILOSOPHY

From our first full-suspension bike to the maverick Head Shok and Lefty suspension systems, Cannondale draws upon its engineering heritage to offer integrated suspension platforms that are only possible when you develop the frame and fork as a single system.

Cannondale set out to achieve five things when designing HeadShok and Lefty:

1. No interruption of travel.
2. Intuitive rider response is achieved with smoother travel.
3. We wanted a “rolling” action in the forks, not the “sliding” effect of bushings.
4. Less friction means less performance-robbing stiction.
5. Convention is for the lazy. We wanted to build a superior fork by breaking old designs.
