A more forward and racy position for efficiency and sharp handling, yet still upright enough for good visibility and comfort.

Innovation AND Technology

OPI - One Piece Integration

Less is More... and this old saying certainly rings true in the world of bicycle design.

One Piece Integration (OPI) is a key engineering approach within Cannondale's System Integration philosophy.

Cannondale's patented 3D Forging process minimize complexity and improves system performance  by consolidating numerous individual parts into a one-piece, super-strong single element.

Fewer parts, Less complexity, lighter weight ... Yes, Less is more.

Smartformed Alloy

Cannondale aluminum construction is focused on delivering the strongest, lightest, best handling frame possible.

Premium 6069 and 6061 alloy tube sets are highly manipulated to extract every ounce of performance. Double-pass welds provide stronger, smoother joints and eliminate the need for internal reinforcements or external welded-on gussets. Each frame is heat treated after welding to maximize the strength and hardness of the aluminum, increasing long-term durability.

These and other processes allow Cannondale to continue to offer a lifetime warranty on each of its alloy frames and forks.

System Integration

We pride ourselves in making the most kick-ass, cutting edge frames in cycling. But you don’t race a frame, you race a complete bike. It seems like common sense, but we stand alone in the industry with our System Integration approach to bike design. Cannondale Si approach incorporates our cutting edge frame design with custom designed Cannondale forks, suspension and drivetrain components.

This unique complete-bike design and build approach ultimately delivers the best performing bikes possible.
