Heaven & Hell: GBDuro with Lachlan Morton
Lachlan Morton takes on the ultimate UK gravel cycling challenge – and wins. Here’s how.
No prize money. No podium celebrations. No winner’s jerseys. The multi-stage, self-supported GBDuro is a lot of things, but normal is not one of them. It’s a solo bikepacking race over 2,000km of pavement, gravel, dirt and every other imaginable terrain – from Land’s End at the southern tip of England to the northernmost point of Scotland at John O’Groats – this is as far removed from a traditional World Tour event as you can get.
EF Education First Pro Cycling rider Lachlan Morton simply wants to ride his bike... everywhere. Be it the Tour de France or, in this case, the GBDuro. Lachlan captures the pure spirit of cycling and how it helps you explore your limits, and in the process redefine his normal.
