CFR Bikes Get Remixed

The Doktor writes a prescription for some sweet new paint jobs.
Cannondale Factory Racing set courses ablaze this summer: Charlie Aldridge took the U23 XCO World Championship. Alan Hatherly won the premier cross-country event at Copa Catalana. Simon Andreassen topped the XCO podium in Sambor. And Mona dominated the way Mona does, claiming the Marathon World Champion crown, then taking World Cup wins at Les Gets and in Andorra. So there’s plenty to celebrate. Now, how do we show some love to our CFR riders and the Scalpels they’ve been using to slice up the world’s XC circuits? We visit the Doktor.
The maestro of Cannondale’s custom paint shop, Rob Nicholas (@doktorbobby on Instagram), never struggles to come up with head-turning schemes for our bikes, having whipped up the stunning “Changeout” bikes raced by the EF Education-EasyPost squad at this year’s Giro d’Italia, and plenty of wild designs long before that. His assignment for CFR? Just have fun.
Drawing color inspiration from the 2023 CFR racing kit, Bobby used its four main hues to set a palette. Then he crissed and crossed and mixed and matched his way to four completely unique paint jobs, emphasizing different colors in different areas of each. The result is four completely distinct bikes, but a vivid visual theme across them. Him and Cannondale in-house design boss Ryan Chung call the look “CFR: Remixed.”
Check out the Remixed Scalpels igniting race courses for the rest of the season at the World Cup events in Snowshoe and Mountain Saint Anne under Alan, Mona, Charlie, and Simon. You certainly won’t have to look too hard to find them.
