Comments about cannondale SCALPEL 29ER 3:
This is a HUGE upgrade for me, but has really pushed me into riding more and experimenting more on the trails. It took a while to get used to the height with the 29ers, but now I couldn't imagine being on anything else. I love the weight and handling, many places here in FL are very rocky (coral) and rooty, and the Scalpel takes it all. After trying the SRAM X0's, I wish this bike had that component set (like the Lexi 0), but I will upgrade in the future. I cannot speak about durability, as it is still new, but an amazing bike!

Comments about cannondale SCALPEL 29ER 3:
After testing a few other 29ers I decided to try the scalpel. I had a 2003 scalpel and liked it, but it was too race oriented.I was very sceptical about going to a 29er and the 2x10 drivetrain. Well the second I jumped on the scalpel 29er3 I was hooked, it feels like it was custom made for me. the ride quality is unbelievable, like there's no bike under me. It has a noticable upright comfortable position, even with a flat bar. As for the 2x10 drivetrain it's perfect, I love it so far in all conditions.I have ridden it on 3 to 4 hour rides and still feel like there's something left in the tank, compared to my usually tiring around the 2 and a half hour mark.

Comments about cannondale SCALPEL 29ER 3:
I read reviews about how this bike was super-fast, but couldn't quite comprehend what they were talking about - how can a bike be fast (isn't it the rider?). Being my first 29er, it took a couple of rides to get used to the longer wheelbase and wider handle bars. Once I got used to it, I knew what the reviewers were referring to. This bike is absolutely amazing! Super-fast, super handling, bulls over anything. I ride rocky, very technical single-track in the Northeast. This bike rocks! The level of my riding has soared with this bike. I bull over boulders and up rock-faced mountains that I used to think were unridable, and zip through tight switchbacks like I'm on rails. Great gear ratios and riding position enable me to ride further, faster and longer than my previous bikes. I had reservations about going with a Lefty, but don't notice anything other than the fact that its a great fork. Other than poor grip and wear from the tires, especially the rear (replaced both tires after a few rides), this bike is amazing!
