Comments about cannondale TRAIL SL 29ER 4:
I bought this bike to use on my 20 mile round trip commute to work in San Diego, CA. This town is quite hilly in places, and there are some doozies between the house and where I work. Having the ability to lock out the front fork quickly is a huge plus for working these big hills. Road conditions here are not the greatest, so I really wanted that front fork shock and was willing to pay the weight dividend for the better ride. Great decision!
The disc brakes are a super great feature as well and come in quite handy when dodging inattentive motorists and when flying down the hills.
So far I have no complaints about any of the components although I did trade out the factory seat and grips for aftermarket ones before I even rode the bike.
It's a great performing bike, and it's a head-turner, too. I've gotten several compliments from strangers and friends alike on how cool it looks.
Pick one up, you won't be sorry!

Perfect upgrade for a recreational mountain biker like myself. Had a Cannondale F400 before this, and I love it until my front shock died on me. This one's so much nicer!!!

The only thing the bike needed was some upgraded skewers to keep the 29" wheels attached.
