Comments about cannondale QUICK SL 1:
I bought this bike for fitness and to ride the Seagull Century in October. It handles well and is very responsive. The seat is not bad. Brakes work very well. Shifting is good too. I like everything about the bike but am a little disappointed in the component grouping. I felt that at this price point that a complete Shimano 105 grouping would have made this bike perfect. That being said the Tiagra shifters, and front derailier work fine.

Comments about cannondale QUICK SL 1:
I spent about 3 months researching different brands. and styles of bikes.
I wanted a high quality bike to ride on the street, mainly for exercise purposes.
I wanted a 2012 model but everyone was sold out in July, when I was ready for purchase, so I ordered a 2013 model and waited until early October (2013) for delivery.
The big difference between the 2012 and the 2013 models seemed to be the gearing.
The 2012 has a 3 ring gearset, vs the 2 ring gearset for 2013. I am 64 years old, and the 3 ring gearset probably would accomadate my riding style much better.
(I am upgrading from a 2004 Giant CYPRESS and am still way more comfortable with the CYRESS gearing).
That is the only reason this bike didnt get a #5 rating from me.
With that said, I would suggest this bike to anyone, especially younger and lighter riders that could seriously benifit from all that this bike offers in this price range!
