Elite Race Geometry
Unlike much of the competition at these price points, the CAAD10 is a thoroughbred racer. Its geometry is virtually identical to our SuperSix EVO for razor-sharp cornering and aggressive race positioning.
SmartFormed 6069 Alloy Construction
A complex mix of hydroforming, mechanical shaping, taper-butting, double-pass smooth welding and heat treating, SmartForming is the most advanced aluminum construction in the world, for lighter, stronger frames.
SPEED SAVE Stays
The flattened shape and internal butting of the CAAD10's seat stays and chain stays allow them to flex vertically, but stay stiff laterally and torsionally. This lets the rear wheel track the ground, improving speed, cornering, grip and comfort.

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
I bought a 2012 Caad10 Ultegra on March 1st. The weather hasn't been very good so far but I have logged over 200km on 3 rides. The bike accelerates like a dream, descends quickly and feels steady, and is very fun to climb with. The only thing I don't enjoy about this bike is the saddle, and that is solely a personal choice - I was experiencing numbness and had to swap it out with a saddle with an anatomical cutout.

Love the way this bike handles, both climbing and getting up and off the saddle to hammer. I had a previous Cannondale and the frame is a nice improvement for comfort on the bumps but very responsive otherwise

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
For the most part I love this bike. It handels great! I got used to it in no time. I had switched from a 30 year old Bertoni, so this bike was quite a change for me.
I am dissapointed that I've had to go back to the shop twice in the one month that I've owned my CAAD10 for repairs. Within the first week, the bearings in the bottom bracket were making a horrible grinding noise. Almost like they were not lubed at all. Upon Cannondale's advice, the shop mechanic removed the bearings, cleaned all the grease out and repacked them with Locktight. This took care of the problem for two more weeks. Today I had to take it in for the same problem. The mechanic completely replaced the bearings with a different brand. The mechanic believes that this will take care of the problem.
So, bottom line, I do love the bike. However, if I have to go back again I will be wanting a replacement bike.
I do recommend this bike. Just keep an eye on the bottom bracket and if you have any trouble, insist they replace them with a different brand.

Fantastic bike for long-distance riding and racing.
Out of the box, this is very quick and responsive ride that cannot be beat for the money. Top notch components including full Shimano Ultegtra.
Frame is very snappy, although the ride can be harsh due to the inherent stiffness of aluminum.
Only complaint is that the wheels are a bit heavy, but this is upgrade.

Ride to keep fit and this machine is better than my last carbon bike! Fits well.
Love the ride and the aluminimium isn't that much harsher as the carbon ride. Great value for money.

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
I'm nuts about this. I've been riding a cyclocross commuter bike for years and just got into road races this year and needed a bike built for speed. I was looking at a lot of entry level carbon bikes (like a Scott CR1 with the 105 group). All incredible bikes, but I really wanted a nicer group set than 105 or Apex, but on a carbon bike that put into bigger $$$.
Then I saw this bike (I have the 2012). Wow — looks great, the ride was phenomenal. So agile and snappy, when you stand up and mash it the things just GOES. It's as light as any carbon bike in the same range and the Ultegra group is rock solid. I definitely feel more chatter form rough pavement that my steel bike would soak up, but it's not harsh.
Great bike. It's my first race-purposed bike purchase, but I feel like I'll have it with me for years to come. Really, there's nothing entry level about it. The group, the geometry — it's built for speed. There's lots of room to grow on this, while I feel I might have grown out of a carbon bike in the same price range.
Good work Cannondale

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
I was drawn to this bike after trying out several other brands and carbon frames. The price point with the components makes this a winner over an entry level carbon with lesser kit. This was an upgrade from a 25 year old Bianchi, and the difference is phenomenal. It transfers power well, the frame is stiff but not jittery, and it is very light. I put 50-100 miles a week on it, with lots of steep climbs and fast descents. This bike puts a grin on your face!
I did swap the saddle for one I was used to. I also had a problem with the BB30 bearings from the factory - they started to squeak and grind in the first month of riding. Have your shop make sure they are installed correctly and lubed well before you take delivery. My local shop replaced them under warranty and no issues now.

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
Like many others I found the CAAD 10 3 Ultegra was the perfect balance of performance and price. Getting the aluminum frame (a very good aluminum frame) allowed me to get into a better set of components. The ride is lively but not harsh. I've ridden 800+ miles on it.
The saddle is definitely personal preference - I'm OK with it but I can see others not liking it.

I put 2,000 miles on my '12 CAAD 10 Ultegra and loved every one of them. For the pricetag, The performance of this bike simply cannot be matched. look no further folks. Keep in mind that this is an aluminum bike and despite the smoothness that the "SAVE" tube shapes provide, it does not ride like a carbon bike. that being said, who cares? If you want a super platform to ride agressivly on for a phenominal price, look no further than the CAAD 10.

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
I've had my CAAD 10 for about two months now and I ride it whenever I get the chance. The day after I got it I did a century ride on it and it rides great! Much faster than my last bike and much more responsive. I personally have no negative comments to say about it. I can't wait for next season to come around so I can have more riding time on it!

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
I have owned this bike for 7 weeks now and have over 700 miles on it. I use this bike for my long road rides and training rides out of the city. I have other bicycles I use for commuting because I can ride 2-3 mph faster on the CAAD10 and do not feel safe riding it with city traffic.
This bike is a bargain for the price. With Ultegra components and the Mavic rims and hubs it is hard to beat. The only drawbacks I could see is that you have to be prepared to replace the tires and the seat before you even take delivery. Cannondale has went the same direction as any other manufacturer and puts on low grade tires and a seat that should be on a bike half the price of a CAAD10. The seat that came on the bike was pure torture to ride more then 10 miles on.

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 3 ULTEGRA:
I have been more than impressed with this bike. As much as I wanted a carbon bike, I kept coming back to the CAAD10 due to the value and price-point. The bike is very stiff, and digging just a little deeper into the pedals, yields a noticable increase in speed when I'm riding with my regular group. The bike is light, climbs well and the handling is confidence-inspiring. I just may be a Cannondale rider for life after this initial experience. It is Aluminium, and it's a great ride, but you will feel some vibration and road awareness, but the peroformance out-weighs this, for my use.
