Elite Race Geometry
Unlike much of the competition at these price points, the CAAD10 is a thoroughbred racer. Its geometry is virtually identical to our SuperSix EVO for razor-sharp cornering and aggressive race positioning.
SmartFormed 6069 Alloy Construction
A complex mix of hydroforming, mechanical shaping, taper-butting, double-pass smooth welding and heat treating, SmartForming is the most advanced aluminum construction in the world, for lighter, stronger frames.
SPEED SAVE Stays
The flattened shape and internal butting of the CAAD10's seat stays and chain stays allow them to flex vertically, but stay stiff laterally and torsionally. This lets the rear wheel track the ground, improving speed, cornering, grip and comfort.

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 4 RIVAL:
I'm on the most economical frame in the group, yet I'm the one getting all the attention. Constant comments on how great the paint looks, "what a pretty bike," and many who ask, "Is that carbon?"
Thanks Cannondale for making me proud. Keep up the great work!
However, first model year was spec'd better. Would be nice to see that continued.

Comments about cannondale CAAD10 4 RIVAL:
I've been riding road bikes since 2005, and was ready for an affordable 2nd bike that would but be race worthy and had SRAM components (Rival at minimum). I've been riding a carbon fiber, Ultegra equipped bike for years, and had been wanting to try SRAM for some time. Now that I have adjusted to the SRAM shifters, I love the Rival so much that my CAAD10 Rival has become my main bike. Yes, the aluminum rides great.
My only complaint, which I've is discovered is a problem with all bike brands, is that the stock wheel sets which come on the larger frame sizes (58cm and up. I ride a 58) don't have enough spokes to properly support larger riders (190 lbs and over). I have yet to buy a road bike (this is my 3rd) that I haven't snapped spokes on the stock wheels (20 front/24 rear, for example). I had a custom set made (28 front/32 rear) which works great.
Having said that, I LOVE my CADD10 Rival.
