Bigger wheels. Smaller Riders. Perfect match.

With two different frame styles, both with low standover height and geometry designed for women, the Tango and Tango SL let smaller riders experience the advantages of bigger wheels, without the compromises.

Tango is:

  • Comfortable and confidence-inspiring thanks to great standover clearance and dialed geometry.
  • Incredibly stiff and strong, especially with the Delta V style front triangle of the Tango SL.
  • The ladies way to roll big. Tango’s 29-inch wheels offer stable handling and a smooth ride.

Rider Profile:

For the female trail rider who wants the confidence and speed that comes from a 29’er that actually fits.

TECHNOLOGIES

  • Women’s 29 Geometry
Women’s specific 29 geometry eliminates the compromises associated with smaller riders and bigger wheels. The Tango SL utilizes the one-and-only Delta V design for the lowest standover in the industry.
  • Two Tangos
For 2014, there are two Tangos: The Tango SL is optimized for more aggressive riding with its oversized 1.5” headtube and super stiff Delta V style front end. Then, for those who want a less radical look, the new Tango features a curved top tube and 1-1/8” headtube.
  • Smooth Welds
Trademark double-pass smooth welds showcase Cannondale’s aluminum frame mastery. Since we don’t patch fill with putty and paint, our process eliminates the stress-risers and weak points found on traditionally welded frames, enabling us to build lighter, stronger frames everywhere in the line.
  • SAVE Micro-Suspension
Optimized seat stay and chain stay shaping provides vertical compliance for a more comfortable ride with no loss in lateral rigidity.

Comments about Tango SL 29 2:

Four months ago I got back into serious biking. My old mountain bike was 25 years old and had never fit me well. Women-specific geometry way back when was none existent. I test rode as many bikes as possible in Albuquerque. Every shop I went into was friendly and the staff knowledgeable. However, finding a 29-inch wheel "women's" tall bike was difficult. Eventually I was able to narrow down my search to two bikes I really liked. The Cannondale came out on top because of the more comfortable, upright position. The week I was going to decide between the two, I went to the Cannondale dealer and lo and behold, a new medium Tango SL 29 2 had arrived! The upgrade in components and the cool new color combination was enough to convince me to upgrade and the bike shop was able to order me a tall that afternoon. Less than a week later I was riding my new Tango SL 29 2 all over the place! Like anything new, adjustments had to be made and I still getting used to the 29-inch tires. But WOW... I've ridden it almost every day since I brought it home! I'm tackling more difficult terrain every time I go out! I'm having so much fun! Thanks Cannondale for a great women's bike!
