Trigger 29 3
Two Personalities…and they’re both Bad-Ass.
Thanks to its OverMountain dual-travel DNA, the Trigger 29 gives you the most out of each pedal stroke on nasty climbs with 80mm of travel, yet doesn’t compromise when descents get rowdy with 130mm of seemingly bottomless confidence. Imagine being able to pick any line, up or down, and charge it at full speed - that is what the Trigger 29 is all about.
Trigger 29 is
- The freedom to attack any line you want, up or down.
- The right geometry at the right time with Attitude Adjust.
- The genetically perfect result of Scalpel 29 and Jekyll “riding” together.
Aggressive-descending 29er fans who know the more efficiently they can climb, the more they can descend.

Comments about Trigger 29 3:
I picked up my new Cannondale trigger 27.5 from Bikeway Source in Bedford MA 2 weeks ago. It has completely changed the way I feel about descending. I received the highest compliment possible from my son, "Mom, you have gotten so much faster downhill". Those words were music to my ears. It's true, I am now seeking out fun downhills. I am letting the brakes go and letting the bike take the hits. The dual rear travel system makes it feel like you are floating over the bumps. ( (Accessing the extra cushy travel is done with the flick of a finger on the release button). The 27.5 is more responsive than the 29er. Making swooping turns on single track the bike hugs the corners. Tight S curves are much easier to negotiate on this bike than my old 29er. I finally understand the joy of the descent!
In addition to the amazing suspension, the bike also has great clearance. It is going over rocks and logs that would hang up my other bike. Climbing is my forte and the 36 22 gearing makes climbing a breeze. Keeping the 27.5 wheels moving is easier than the 29er up a steep grade. The result--I've also been cleaning climbs that I couldn't quite make before. The stock tires that came on the bike (tubeless ready, I just pulled out the tubes added some Stan's and re inflated the tires) are super grippy. Finally, the dropper seat post is awesome. I ride my bike to the ride on the road. The seat post allows me to raise it high for the road, slightly lower for cross country riding and lower for the descents with the ease of pulling a lever.
I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a great all around riding experience. It everything you want in an all mountain bike.
