Marco Aurelio Fontana and the Cannondale Factory Racing Team continued their successful campaign on the World Cup Circuit in Nove Mesto in the Czech Republic. Fontana was part of a 5-man leading group and played a major role in the exciting 6-lap race, finishing in 4th position.

After seven hard races, the 2011 World Cup season is in the books. CFR had its best season so far with Marco Aurelio Fontana sitting in eighth position overall, followed by Manuel Fumic in eleventh and Martin Gujan in twentieth. 

Round six of the UCI Mountainbike World Cup took place in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, and it was a great show. The worlds XC Elite raced in front of thousands of spectators and twenty live television cameras on a perfect venue in the Nove Mesto biathlon stadium.

With a race as important as the Leadville 100 it's hard to predict what will happen and who will do what when the shotgun fires at 6:30am. In anticipation, the Cannondale Factory Team of Jeremiah Bishop, Alex Grant, Tinker Juarez and Tim Johnson laid out a solid plan of tactics the night before.

This year’s 18^th running of the Race Across The Sky has become an important focus for the Cannondale Factory Racing Team, so much so that we’re sending a large contingent of racers and support staff to leave a lasting impression on the 2,000 racers and even larger numbers of friends and fans that line the legendary 103 mile high altitude course that climbs 14,000 feet. This year, Jeremiah Bishop (who finished 5^thlast year in his first attempt) will be supported by Leadville veterans Tinker Juarez, and Alex Grant along with none other than cyclocross legend Tim Johnson, who’s making his first attempt at the event. The strategy is simple, work as a team with well executed attacks to put the contenders on the ropes early.

Pejo Therme/Italy. In a time of one hour and thirty six minutes, Marco Aurelio Fontana rode to a start-to-finish victory on a wet course to take his third consecutive Italian XCO title in Pejo Therme this weekend. It was Fontana’s eighth Italian title, spread over different disciplines and categories.

Windham, New York was the second stop of the North American leg of the 2011 UCI MTB World Cup Series this last weekend. CFR Riders Marco Aurelio Fontana, Manuel Fumic, Martin Gujan and Jeremiah Bishop gave their best in the fight for the podium, but missed their goal by just a few seconds

This weekend the UCI MTB World Cup stopped in Mont Sainte Anne, Canada for the fourth round of the series. After two rainy practice days, the Canadian weather showed its best side with blue skies and hot temperatures. CFR Riders Manuel Fumic, Marco Fontana and Martin Gujan started strong in the race and placed themselves early in the top group.
