SYNAPSE 8 2300

average rating

The un-race road machine.

Carbon Bladed Fork

Carbon fork blades with integrated SAVE features provide additional comfort and sharp handling.

SAVE PLUS Rear Stay Micro-Suspension System

By flattening and butting the chain stays and triaxially forming the seat stays, we create a rear stay assembly that allows significant deflection vertically to absorb road shock and vibration, while staying extremely rigid laterally for power transfer and confident cornering.

Performance Geometry

Compared with our Elite race geometry, the Synapse geometry features a taller head tube (2-2.5 cm taller), gently sloping top tube, slightly relaxed head angle and longer wheelbase. This combination provides a more upright riding position and a lively, yet stable feel. It’s confidence inspiring and relaxing but avoids the sluggish feel and awkward handling of many “comfort” road bikes.

Dont waste your money the wheels are cheap on this bike they wont stay true ended up having to replace them at 500 miles the cheap tires tore the sidewall at 280 miles and at 1200 miles the cheap sunrace cassette was so worn out it had to be replaced this bike has been back to the shop every couple weeks.and cannondale has covered any of it and the bike is only 6 moths old

Comments about cannondale SYNAPSE 8 2300:

Experienced mountain biker looking for a road bike since I moved out of the hills. Shopped around for a month looking for the perfect road bike. Road over 10 different ones till I gave this bike a test ride. It was AWESOME! Handles great, real comfortable ride, absorbs the little bumps well, great components for easy shifting, and looks nifty too! Also, can not beat the value! I can't wait for my first century.

Comments about cannondale SYNAPSE 8 2300:

It is comfortable and I don't feel strained on it. The seat is not bad either. I was enticed by it's good looks and I am not disappointed with the way it handles and it's quality components. It's a joy to ride. All this for a reasonable price AND with a trusted brand name.
