Thanks to its lightweight frame, perfect handling and good suspension technology, the Cannondale E-series has been elected winner of the E-bike of the year 2012 contest. The powerful Bosch engine in the heart of the frame delivers an excellent weight balance, resulting in a perfect ride. With pedaling support in 4 different modes the bike can be used in all circumstances. The E-series bikes come equipped with an SLX derailleur, hydraulic disc brakes and the Cannondale Headshok DL50 fork.

The jury members that have selected Cannondale as the winner are professionals from; RAI, ANWB, Fietsersbond, NTFU, Innovam, TNO and the bike magazines Tweewieler, Bike Europe, Fietsmarkt and Fiets. The report of the jury is based on bike handling, assembly quality, safety, design, innovation and price-value.

The E-bike market in the Netherlands is in a strong growth mode. This explains why, this year, the number of contestants of the E-bike election was higher than the “classic” Bike of the year contest, organized for its 25th consecutive year. The RAI organization also concluded that they see a developing market for more sporty E-bikes in the recreational and commuting sector, that will dictate the near future within the e-bike categories.
