In 2013 the Team will exclusively be using Vision ROAD WHEELS and AEROBARS.
Vision has been a sponsor of Cannondale since 2003 and thanks to the brilliant results achieved during the past few years, the team and riders have chosen to race on Vision wheels in 2013.
Their choice was based on:
- Lightweight and durability
- Superior aerodynamics and stability
- Ease of serviceability
Claudio Marra, Manager of Vision Europe said: “We’ve had a successful collaboration with Cannondale for a long time, and the decision to sponsor Cannondale Pro Cycling Team for 2013 was really important to us. I’m confident that our products will give the riders an advantage. We produce all the components and wheels in-house and this gives us great flexibility with product development. We also have a strong and cooperative relationship with the Team Manager and the top riders within the team like Ivan Basso, Elia Viviani and Peter Sagan. The request for Vision wheels from the team and the riders was an honor for me and for the company. I’m sure we will work very well together next year”.
Rory Mason, Director of Global Sports Marketing at Cycling Sports Group, is in agreement: “The collaboration with the Vision brand was born long time ago and we have always worked very well together. For this reason and for the outstanding performance of their products we have decided to choose Vision wheels for the Cannondale Pro Cycling Team. The equipment is perfect for our riders and the team is delighted with the decision”.
All these features have won the hearts of the riders and their team managers, which led to great results during World Tour races.
In 2013, Vision is offering a full range of wheels for each discipline, course, and condition. Cannondale Pro Cycling Team riders will be able to select from the following wheels:
METRON 81: Featuring CFD designed and wind tunnel tested 81mm deep full carbon wheels, rolling on ceramic bearings in the new PRA Metron hubs.
METRON 3 SPOKE: A completely new category for Vision, developed to achieve the best balance of aerodynamics and stability.
METRON DISC: The new Metron Disk wheel comes from the proven Metron 90 chassis, which offers lower drag, lighter weight and ease of serviceability.
TC50: A carbon tubular rim with an aerodynamic 50mm height suitable for all race conditions.
