How long has your shop been in business?
Our first storefront opened in 1995 but our first shop was in a garage starting in 1993.
How many people work here?
We have about thirty employees covering three locations.
What is your specialty?
We specialize in making sure our customers leave our stores with the bike and parts that are right for them. Since we sell road, mountain, kids, city, triathlon, and just about everything in between we can accommodate just about everyone.
What do customers request most often?
This year it has been lots of folks asking for 29'er MTN bikes and bikes for commuting. Plus, we get lots of requests for fitting advice.
How is your shop unique?
Every customer gets a fitting session with a new bike. We strongly believe that a proper fit is the key to a great cycling experience.
Tell us about your favorite customer.
Favorite? Too hard to choose. The bulk of our customers are not your general walk ins off the street. Most of our customers have been coming in for years and have become close friends of ours. We are so pleased to have the best and most loyal customers around!
What’s the most difficult request you’ve ever received?
One time we built a custom carbon single speed wheel. It consisted of a Mavic Carbone rim laced to a Mavic Elipse track hub. The difficult part was finding bladed black strait-pull spokes that matched the front wheel! There have been many other requests but we try not to look at the difficulty factor, instead focusing on the result.
What makes you proud of your shop?
We talk about doing it the "OTB way" all the time. That basically involves providing the best customer experience possible. Whether it's timely repairs, sound advice, or the perfect fit, we do our absolute best to provide great service.
What are your goals or aspirations for the shop?
There is no finish line here. You can always do better. We are constantly keeping our selves in check and questioning ourselves. Our goal would be to keep and expand our reputation of a great retail destination store. A place where you can find the perfect equipment and trust the advice you get every time.
If your shop was a Cannondale bike, which one would it be and why?
A 2012 Scalpel 29'er. It's light, it's fast, it's smooth, and it ROCKS!
What’s the best part about being a Cannondale retailer?
One of the major differences between Cannondale and other bike companies is when you sell Cannondale you are in a partnership. We work together with Cannondale to put our customers on the perfect piece of equipment for their cycling goals. Cannondale listens to their dealers needs and the product shows it.
