RACE STAGE 6 – SAN JOSE (INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL)
Welcome to the Bay Area! After meeting in San Francisco, we’ll shuttle south to one of California’s most affluent towns, Woodside, and head out on bike into the very hills that previous TOC stages have covered. Today’s a great opportunity to spin out the legs and sample some of the incredible road riding that the area has to offer. After a 39-mile ride that takes you to the Pacific Ocean for a gourmet picnic and back, we’ll transfer into San Jose and take center stage along today’s race route. Today’s individual time trial will allow you to get up close with your favorite pros as they race the clock in the only city to host a stage in all 8 versions of the Tour of California. When the racing is over, take the opportunity to tour the race venue and exciting downtown atmosphere before checking in to your hotel. You’ll have a chance to grab a drink and enjoy the amenities before having an incredible dinner at one of the city’s highly acclaimed restaurants.

Today our ride will take us into San Francisco’s Presidio district across the world’s most iconic bridge before returning to cycle along the waterfront communities of Belvedere and Tiburon. We’ll catch racers as they cross the Golden Gate en route to the Santa Rosa.
Following a chance to explore the small shops and galleries of Sausalito, we’ll shuttle to Santa Rosa to catch the downtown finish. Here the 2013 Tour of California winner will be crowned and you’ll be consumed by the energy of the event and lively atmosphere. When the excitement settles, we will transfer to one of Northern California’s wine capitals, Healdsburg, where three of the state’s most renowned wine-growing regions converge.
